Whether the one you love is still with you or not, chances are the memories still linger. That’s the case for a couple PillowTalk dedications on Wednesday night. Lot’s of time, history and emotion invested in some very loving relationships. Joe from Avon was taken from Eleanor 17 years ago. Tonight would have been their 48th wedding anniversary. Eleanor’s message to her loving husband: “I wish that you were here. I will always love you”.

Sandy from New Britain had to get in touch with me via email because she wanted to wish her brother Dennis and his wife Beverly in Canton a very happy 20th wedding anniversary. Her message: “Happy 20th anniversary from your sister Sandy. I love you both very much”. The song I played for them is by Lady Antebellum.

His two siblings died in their 60′s. Gabriele, his third wife and Mother of his children, died of ovarian cancer at 43). David Murdock then changed what he eats. He’s 90 years old. He’s a self-made real estate titan who chairs the board of Dole Food Company.

He eats fruits, vegetables, seeds, and husks that holds the key to longevity. “I just think about what I eat.” His coffee is mellowed with almond milk. He stopped eating red meat and later, chicken too, because they contain saturated fat. He consumes every bit of fruit or vegetable, especially the rinfs, because he’s convinced that “anything the sun touches has nutritional value in it.” Cucumber skins and celery leaves go straight down the hatch; banana peels and pineapple leaves get tossed in the blender for a smoothie. He exercises daily.

My wife, Ceil and I use a blender with fruit and a Shaklee product filled with vitamins and supplements for our breakfast. We eat no red meat(almost always, a burger maybe once a month). Health is Good!

Rihanna’s ‘Styled To Rock’ Inches Closer Toward U.S. Premiere

Rihanna is importing her U.K. reality TV show to the U.S., in conjunction with the Style Network. The show’s first cycle aired abroad but for the second season, Rihanna’s American fans can join in on the fashion fun.

Styled To Rock is a Project Runway-esque show produced by Rihanna, where a group of contestants create original looks. The U.K. series featured a chance for the winner to outfit Rihanna in concert, but no clear prize has been attached to the U.S. show yet.

The reality competition also offers its contestant mentors. Pharrell has signed on for the U.S. version, along with Victoria’s Secret model/designer Erin Wasson.

Sara Bareilles Set To Play LGBT Democratic Fundraiser In New York

On May 29, Sara Bareilles will join Michelle Obama in New York City for a fundraising event benefiting the Democratic National Committee.

Bareilles will perform her latest single, “Brave,” at the fundraiser, which is hosed by the LGBT Leadership Council, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bareilles has said that the song off her upcoming album, The Blessed Unrest (out June 23), was written for a friend who was struggling to come out. The track has become an anthem for LGBT teens, along with anyone else who needs a little encouragement speaking up.

The singer–who finishes up her first solo tour in New York on May 23–will be joined by NBA star Jason Collins, who made news last month after becoming the first basketball star to reveal he was gay while still playing the game.

Tickets for the event range from $1,250 to $32,400 apiece.

Kellie Pickler Wins DWTS

Country music is cleaning up this week on reality TV competitions. This past Sunday, Trace Adkins won All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. And last night (May 21), singer Kellie Pickler took top honors on season 16 of Dancing with the Stars.

Pickler shared her win with her professional dance partner Derek Hough. During Tuesday night’s finale, they were competing against Disney Channel star Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy.

When season 16 began, Kellie was one of two country artists on the program. Fellow dancer Wynonna Judd, though, was voted off in April.

Other stars competing this season included actor Andy Dick, figure skating champ Dorothy Hamill, football star Jacoby Jones, and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.

How Heartbreak Helped Michael Buble Make The Best Album Of His Career

Michael Bublè believes his latest album, To Be Loved, is his best yet. And he owes it all to a very public breakup five years ago.

The Canadian crooner told Vanity Fair that after breaking off his engagement with actress Emily Blunt in 2008, he was heartbroken and insecure.

“I was not a happy man for many years,” he said. “I never thought I could hold a relationship. No way. Because how could anyone love me if I didn’t? That sounds like a shrink would say it, but it’s the truth.”

After the break-up Bublè began to really look at himself and realize that he wasn’t getting any younger. He told the mag that fame can stunt your growth and he knew he needed to become an adult. Bublè even started reading the self-help book The Power of Now, which is all about spiritual thinking. He says the Oprah-recommended book was something he needed at the time.

“I started reading it, and I believed in it,” Bublè explained. “I started practicing it, and it was as simple as just being in the moment and being thankful for what I had and every day trying to be grateful and to try to work on myself. It was such a slow process, but it changed my life.”

He added, “Literally. If you talk to my mom and dad, they’ll tell you that I’m a different son. I’m present.”

Okay, if you are just about to get married please take this with a grain of salt as they say. 250,000 weddings a year are called off in the U.S. And for just this reason a new website and business was created! For canceled weddings,there’s BridalBrokerage.com. The start-up company makes a market between parties on the wedding continuum: couples who’ve decided not to marry who want to sell the wedding goods and services they’ve bought, and couples keen to buy a “prepackaged” wedding and save money at the same time. I just heard about this from a friend and thought it was a little sketchy. I mean if you are just engaged and planning a wedding, don’t you want to plan your dream wedding with all the touches that make you and your fiance unique? Then again….. you can save a ton of money and help the people who canceled and less planning for you. Hmmmmmm.

Founder Lauren Byrne had the idea three years ago, when a friend of hers who was to be in a wedding on St. Johns had to eat her ticket and dress when the wedding was canceled. When Byrne started telling people her idea, some were skeptical. Lauren said to ABC News when she was being interviewed, “We got a little bit of pushback in the beginning that people wouldn’t really want to buy someone else’s wedding, and that’s not the case at all,” Byrne said. “There’s over 2 million weddings a year in the U.S., and we’re seeing a lot of customers coming to us and saying they’d love to buy a prepackaged wedding.”

Maroon 5 Releases Paint-Drenched ‘Love Somebody’ Video

On Tuesday (May 21) night, Maroon 5 released a video for their single “Love Somebody” that uses the inverse of green screen technology. Directed by Rich Lee (Eminem, will.i.am), the video utilizes an effect that causes band member’s body parts to show up as they are covered in a thick, paint-like substance.

Adam Levine manages to make messy sexy and is seen rubbing his hands, full of paint naturally, over the body of a female model.

The song, co-written by Levine, Nathaniel Motte of 3OH!3, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and producer Noel Zancanella (Demi Lovato, B.o.B.) is the fourth single off the band’s 2012 Overexposed LP.

These are perfect for your Memorial Day Barbecue!

Who doesn’t love the Teriyaki Steak on a Stick that you get as part of a Poo-Poo Platter at your local Chinese Restaurant! These are simple to make… indoors (George Foreman Grill) or Outdoors on the BBQ Grill (just make sure you soak your skewers!)

You’ll Need:

2 pounds of Big Y All Natural Angus Beef Flank Steak

1/2 cup Soy Sauce

1/4 cup Olive Oil

1/4 cup Water

2 tablespoons Molasses

2 teaspoons Mustard Powder

1 teaspoon Ground Ginger

1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder

Wooden Skewers

In a large resealable bag, combine all ingredients and marinate at least 8 hours or overnight. Cook on grill to your liking!

You could bring them as a tasty appetizer to a Memorial Day Party or I made an Oriental Salad (mixed greens, green beans, carrots, cucumbers, and toasted sesame seeds topped with the Teriyaki Steak!
