Get Moving For A Healthy Brain

With this recent sunny days we’ve had, I’m back walking, which I hear is good for the brain. I went out at 6:30 a.m. yesterday(Sunday) and had the whole “Greenway”(for walkers, bikers, joggers only) to myself on a beautiful Sunday morning. I felt so good when I got home and sat outside to read the paper enjoying Mother Nature, (don’t tell my Dr., I had a cup of coffee). I read exercise is the best thing you can do for your brain. It continues to make new neurons and fine tune neural connections as long as we live. Aerobic exercise jump starts that process. It also slashes your lifetime risk of Alzheimer’s in half and your risk of general dementia by 60%. Evan if you are 55 and have never exercised, you can start now. It is never too late. I will continue to walk and use our tread mill at home when it gets colder. It’s all good for my brain.(Thanks to AARP Bulletin)
