It was their wedding song. They danced to  it on their big day.  Russ and Rachael of Manchester that is. When they were dating many years ago Rachael was “beyond the sea”. She lived in Europe over one summer for a year. Rachael waited for Russ. Russ waited for Rachael. Finally they did get together and have been married for 7 years. It will be eight years in August of this year. Tonight Russ was working late leaving Rachael to wait again. He said he hates working late but looks forward to spending the whole day together with his wife Rachael on Tuesday. Russ told me that even though he is only one Connecticut town away from her tonight, it seems like he is so far away. He wants her to know that he loves her and that Rachael is the best.

The song they chose is a classic. Made a classic thanks to one of the all time great crooners. He always seemed to be having so much fun singing a song unless the subject was serious. He always sang with such ease probably because he was so talented. He had a one of a kind personality. He left us way to soon. The one and only Bobby Darin.
