One of the great things about this radio gig: I get to chat with some pretty famous people from time to time and sometimes like today,
I am very pleasantly surprised. Rita Coolidge is one of the many 70′s superstars that will take the stage with Jim Brickman at The Oakdale Theater in Wallingford coming up March 2nd.

I didn’t know what to expect when I got on the phone with Rita but immediately I was at ease when I heard her calm, silky, voice on the other end… just like I had called one of my girlfriends.

The one big thing I took away from the interview: Rita loves performing and feels she is in better voice now than she ever has been in her entire career. She feels that it is because she has such joy and passion for singing and performing that it never even occurs to her to stop! Good new for us!
